Our aim is to provide participants with quality education and training, assisting them in better addressing related challenges to promote health and well-being. Seminars, Talks, and Workshops
The Hong Kong Speech and Swallowing Therapy Center designs comprehensive outreach service programs for Hong Kong primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, nursing homes, elderly and rehabilitation service units, and elderly centers. We tailor our services based on institutional needs, offering seminars, lectures, and workshops.
Service Content:
1. Talk:
– Talks hosted by senior speech therapists, introducing the importance and methods of swallowing therapy.
– Discuss topics such as the causes of swallowing difficulties, identification, and prevention methods.
2. Workshops:
– Practical demonstrations of swallowing training and oral muscle training techniques for the elderly to experience the therapy process firsthand.
– Provide interactive sessions for participants to learn and share related experiences.
3. Seminar or Online Webinars:
– Conduct seminar or webinars via online platforms to facilitate the participation of elderly individuals from different locations.
– Offer expert opinions and real-time interaction to address participants’ questions and concerns.
Service Objectives
Provide professional knowledge and skills: Through seminars, lectures, and workshops, we aim to impart the latest speech and swallowing therapy knowledge and skills to participants, helping them better understand and address related issues.
Promote communication and understanding: Our goal is to foster the development of communication skills through education and training, enhance participants’ understanding of speech disorders and swallowing difficulties, and provide effective coping strategies.
Support professional development: We are committed to supporting the professional development of educators, caregivers, and other related professionals, helping them enhance their awareness and skill levels in speech and swallowing therapy.
Promote community collaboration and sharing: By organizing various activities, we aim to foster cooperation and sharing among schools, elderly service institutions, and elderly centers, creating a more inclusive and supportive community environment.

Training: Picture Communication Book Creation x Tablet Application Skills
– Providing professional swallowing therapy knowledge and skills to help the elderly prevent and manage swallowing issues.

– Promoting knowledge sharing and interaction among elderly community members, building a supportive and shared community network.
Service Process:
- Confirm event dates and times, arrange expert speakers and workshop facilitators.
- Promote and publicize the event, attract elderly participation, provide registration methods and detailed information.
- Prepare necessary equipment and materials, ensuring smooth event execution.
- Conduct feedback surveys post-event, collect participant opinions and suggestions to improve future services.
Established in 2006, HKSSC has over 20 years of experience in speech therapy services.
We’ve been providing therapy services to over 190 schools and nursing homes.
